PMS Party Info

That's right ladies, we're having a PMS Party! So break out the chocolate and tell your men to leave you alone!

1 week from today! We'll chat it up (we're currently working on developing our very own forum for this on the paper makeup site, but if that doesnt work out for us, we'll just chat it up in our PCP group. Afterall, there are many of us that chat it up there nightly!

What else will be happenin' at this hoppin' party...

A BLOG HOP! And anyone can participate. Just shoot me an email at Katie@papermakeup.com and let me know you want in on the fun. What do you have to do for the bloghop? Just have any creation using Paper Makeup Stamps on your blog! I'll get a list of all the participants to everyone. But to do this I need to know everyone who is partipating by this coming Friday, March 13th. (uh oh, i just realized it'll be friday the 13th!)

What else will be going on at the party? Challenge, Games, PRIZES, a lot of chatter i'm sure, some digi images released for 1 day only!, sneak peeks, the announcement of the design team... it'll be a crazy big day! I'm sure there will be a sale or 2 as well. :)

I am so stinkin' excited for this party!

Pre-Party chatter will start at 12 noon EST. I know some will be going to church in the morning (myself included) but the time zones make it tricky. The big party will then start at 3 EST (but if you're around before then, there will be prizes given away during the pre party chatter!!!)

So have your comfort munchies handy, maybe a glass or 2 of wine and of course all your PMS stamps!!! And we're gonna have some FUN!

Featured Friday

It's friday again! And that means it's time to feature another fabulous stamper! I totally meant to get this featured stamper up LAST friday but since the rubbah had come in for the new release i was too busy giving myself blisters from cutting all day long to post anything. haha. Sorry about that. :)

SO here is our Fabulous Friday Featured Stamper!!!

Lauren Meader

Now I have followed Lauren's blog for some time and I feel very honored to call her one of my "online crafting buddies". I was over the moon when Lauren told me she'd like to feature the stamps on her blog. Here were the cards she created...

I really love how she used the tree (similar to how Christi used it yesterday). i just love how people are using the tree! It's been giving me all kinds of other swirlie ideas. :) As well as a card i want to do using the tree myself.

If you guys would like to read Lauren's blog entry about PMS, you can do so HERE and also leave her some love!

Store News

There is a new product in the store ladies! I am so happy to be carrying this product!! It makes using unmounted stamps very easy!

For those that prefer their stamps absolutely bare, whether for affordability, storage or another reason, this is the product for you! It's by Tsukineko and is called Tack 'N Peel.

And here's what it is.... it's a clear sheet that you permanently mount to a any block. I prefer it on a clear block. It keeps your block clear, but makes 1 side SUPER sticky. I have this permanently mounted to a few of my blocks. a 1x1, a 2x2, and a 3x5. This may be a little excessive. But i love it! First of all it's thick for a "sheet". It's about 1/8" thick and it have a little give meaning it gives a little cushion to your unmounted stamps! Dont get me wrong, i LOVE EZ Mount, but this makes unmounted stamps even more affordable and i love more affordable.

Now i know PMS doesnt have a lot of super tiny stamps but, have you ever had a small stamp that once mounted on ez mount kind of becomes a pain to stamp with? Well tack n peel is great for that because it sticks flat and doesnt "wobble" on ya. I definitely use my 3x5 tack n peel block a lot, but the one that really gets the work is the 1" block i have it on.

Wanna know what else you can do? You can stick other objects to your block or wrap it around a brayer and stick string or other objects on your brayer and create some awesome backgrounds!

So yeah, i really like this stuff. :)

OMG - Did you SEE?

Hiya ladies! I'm trying to go (a little) by a format for the PMS blog. Wednesdays are now going to be OMG - Did you SEE days. Just a day where i post some seriously fantastic projects using Paper Makeup Stamps.

First i want to remind you of the Super Tuesday sale. Normally this sale (the first tuesday of the month) will only be for 24 hours, but since this was the first one with very little warning for ya, it will be 48 hours long which means if you are interested in Starstruck or Nuts About You, you have until midnight tonight to place your order. :)

Ok... onto the show...

OMG! Did you SEEEEE? 2 blogs had cards this week that really made me go WOW!

First is our Senior Premo Design Team member, Christi! I know i show her cards on the blog alot and it's probably not very likely to stop because i just LOVE Christi's work. And i dont just say that because she's a great friend! haha. She has a great layering style! But this card really blew me away. She used the swirlie tree for her background. Isnt that neato?! And then the quote as her main image and i just love the quotes! They are very near and dear to my heart!

Next i have my friend Lynn's card. Lynn featured Chelly on her blog a bit back (and then sent me the card as a Good Luck with the new business! Isnt that sweet of her!) And then i saw Chelly featured on her blog again the other day. Lynn has a beautiful clean style but she still incorporates a lot into her cards. That takes some talent! She's also a fabulous color-er (is that a word). I've watched Lynn's work for quite some time. She's a great go to for inspiration. Here's her card...

Ok ladies - i have a card class i'm helping with this morning (with the kiddos in tow - this should be interesting!) and then maybe just MAYBE i'll get some stamping time in today! Oh i hope i hope! :)

An introduction and a challenge!

Happy March, everyone! It's snowing here. SNOWING! This is South Carolina. It is not supposed to be snowing in March!
Ah well. We played outside in the snow this morning. What fun.

I totally meant to have this introduction posted yesterday, woops! It's been a bit of a nut house around here! But this month i'm going to be featuring some of my illustrators for Paper Makeup Stamps. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my illustrators! They are fabulous.
First i gotta start with my girl, Diem! She's the illustrator of the fabulous Beautiful Day Fairies! She rocks my socks off! And she so gets what I want! I barely have to mention the next fairy i have an idea for and she's already in my head! It truly is wonderful to have someone that you click with to work with!

Here she is...

Hi everyone! My name is Diem Bach Pascarella, and I currently reside in Irvine, California where I live with my husband, Nick in a small condo.

Since I was little, I always loved drawing and creating new things. I was inspired by Japanese animation and comics quite early, and it has influenced my style to this very day. Originally, I was planning to become a graphic designer, but I also wanted to draw from my imagination. I graduated from California State University, Long Beach at the end of 2008 with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Illustration, a Minor in Sociology and a Certificate in Biomedical Art. Since then, I’ve been freelancing. I dream about making my own children’s books, a stationary and sticker company, and drawing for the medical industry.

Aside from art, I have a strong interest in Asian ball-jointed dolls and cooking as well as video games.

Please go check out some of her fantastic work! In fact - that is your challenge for this week! Go to one of Diem's sites and find something to inspire you! Now, i know inspiration challenges can be tricky. My advice is to go to here to one of Diem's gallerys and pick a painting or illustration that you like. Use those colors on a card. Easy enough, right? I think so. :)

I've still got to work on my own... i was too busy playing in the snow. hehe. I will upload mine in a bit!

Link your work here!

And if you upload to a gallery, please use PMSIC1 so we can see all of our stuff together!

Happy New Release day!

Hiya everyone! It's new release day! Yippiee! It feels a little strange since the preorders have been open, not too big or grand to show ya, but everything is here, items are shipping out and that makes me HAPPY! I cant believe we've even sold out of a few! Most of te fairies are down to just a few left so if you want them now, go place your order! never fear though, more stock should be in by the end of next week.

I wanted a share another card i did for the etsy hop yesterday using the Swirlie tree! I sold out so quickly last time that i never even had this stamp for myself! *GASP*! So i was very excited to use it. :)

Sara issued a challenge of using anything clear... fun!

Further details on the card can be read on my blog...

And if you havent heard... we're going to have a PMS party! It's about the only time you want to party with PMS! haha. So mark March 15th off on your calendar, make sure you have lots of chocolate and maybe even a little wine. Tell your men to leave you alone and party with the PMS girls! The design team will be announced in the evening. Challenges will be abundant. Chatter and gossip shared. And maybe even some sneak peeks including a DIGITAL stamp or 2?! Have i got your attention! Keep posted to the blog as we count down the days to the PMS party!!!
