Makeup 4 the Weekend #38 & more FREE rubbah!

Happy Friday yall!  I don't know about you but I am in dire need of some serious stampin' time this weekend!!!  This week's Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge is brought to us by one of our newer DT members, Bonnie and she is challenging us with these fabulous colors Lime Green, Turquoise & Kraft (along with your choice of black or white as a neutral).

Here is my sample using items from the Celestial Possibilities Kit and the Scentsational Perfume set.

Here is Bonnie's sample using a sentiment from the Cutie Critter Sayings.
Want some more DT inspiration?  Check these out...

So, are you ready to get inky?  Are you inspired and ready to play?  You can win a single stamp of your choice and all you have to do is:
  1. Do the challenge
  2. Use PMS images (stamped or digi)
Easy peasy, huh?  Well, what are you waiting for?  Link up your creation by midnight on Wednesday to be included in the Thursday Showoff and to be in the drawing for some free rubbah.  While you don't have to use Paper Makeup Stamps to play in the challenge, you do need to use them to be entered in the drawing.  Don't forget to mention the challenge in your post, and if you are posting to SCS or PCP use the key M4TW38.  Be sure to link directly to your post.  Thanks for playing!  Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

August Release in Review - Color It!

**If you are looking for the Thursday Showoff and winner of some Rubbah, please scroll down**
Katie's parents are visiting tonight so she asked me to fill in.  So, what do you think about the August release?  I am just in love!  Today we are reviewing the Color It - Summer set illustrated by Lindsay Spencer.  This is such a great set...wonderful to color, fabulous to paper piece, just great!  Ok so let's check out some DT awesomeness.
I love what Tina did here by stamping the flower and leaving it uncolored, such a great contrast to her dsp, and it really makes the butterfly pop!

Maria paper pieced her butterfly and flower (I {heart} paper piecing, lol)... too sweet!

Who doesn't LOVE red flowers?!  The simple beauty of Michelle's card is just perfect!  All the little details make that flower just stand out!

And last but not least, look at all the Color It goodness Randee packed in to this gorgeous card!  Love it!!!

Well that's it for the August Release Review.  Remember you can click on the DT members name above their card to leave them some love on their blogs or to get more deets on the gorgeous creations.  Scroll down to the next post for the Thursday Showoff and to see who won some new rubbah.  Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the Makeup 4 the Weekend challenge.  See you then!  Have a fabulously inky day ;)

It's Thursday, and it's time...

For some showin' off!  I forgot last week was Peek-Week and because of the days it fell on yall got an extra week to get this one done.  The last challenge was to make a collection of cards for your stash. In order to be considered for a free stamp all you had to do was use some PMS.  Here is your Thursday Showoff...

And now for a winner (or as Lisa M says "winner winner chicken dinner!")  Random.org chose #8, which was Jenn Ruggeri with this cute set...

Jenn please contact Katie at Katie@papermakeup.com and tell her which image you would like!  Thanks to everyone for playing with us.

August Release in Review day 2 - Moodies and WordArt

Hello! Welcome to day 2 in our Release in Review!

Today the Paper Makeup Artists have made cards using the new Moodies and Wordarts that are now available for purchase on the site. You can see all the new releases HERE.

First we will show off the new Moodies!

Christi Snow has used A Couple of Moodies along with this month's freebie sentiment with every order! I love how she integrated all the colored from different dp's into her coloring!

Tangii has used Moody for Kitties with "I just love you"

Andrea has used the wordart The Most beautiful things, LOVE that bow and sponging!

Here Sherry has used the same wordart, The Most beautiful things, along with one of the butterflies and flowers from the Color It - Summer set. Both card are equally stunning, but i love how just the changing of color palettes can really change the feel of a card!

Anita has used the technique of layering flowers into the wordart circle. Hmmm... i'm thinking i need to catch on to the trends! i LOVE it! Anita used You Mean the World as well as flowers from the Dandy Wishes set!

Dawn has used the Growing Up wordart. I love how she has highlighted some of the words for added impact. Also how she took a sentiment that I instantly saw as boyish (ok, so i have 2 boys!) and turned it fun and feminine! Love that versatility!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to go leave the Design team some love!
