OMG did you SEEEEE?
I just wanted to remind everyone that the Fairy for Kayleigh contest (read more about it here) ends on May 30th. On May 31st, I will draw 1 winner to receive a $25 gift certificate towards any stamp purchase to the website. The only requirement is that you use one of the stamps created to help this family. You can go to the PMS website to purchase the Fairy for Kayleigh digi here.
My friend (maybe you've heard of her!!!), Lauren Meader created a stunning card to send to the family upon their loss using the digi.
Here is her card...
Thanks so much everyone!
Dont forget to also join us at Stampin Out Alzheimer's event! More PMS goodness being given away over there too!

Meet n Greet Tuesday with Dawn Barrett!
It's that wonderful time of the week again when you get to "meet" another fabulous member of the PMS design team!
This week it's Dawn Barrett's turn! Those that know Dawn from Splitcoast... or even her blog might know her better as Dawn Mercedes (which is her middle name!)
Now I did know Dawn before she started designing for PMS. I "met" her thru some of the splitcoast forums and just thought she was a riot. Knowing her much better now, I still think she's a riot! :) But she's a good friend and very supportive as well. We like that around these parts. :) She's got some great ideas. We like that too!
Here are the same questions we ask every week! :)
When did you start stamping?
I started stamping about 4 years. Many months after my grandmother died, my grandfather invited me to look through her craft closet and take whatever I wanted. Among the things I took were a heat gun, some embossing powder and a few loose stamps. Needless to say, after I got home and started "stamping," I needed much more. A friend of mine sold me some more stuff and told me about Splitcoaststampers. A few days on that website and I was hooked!
What first drew you to PMS?
Now hop along to Dawn's blog to leave her some love!

The FAIRIES!! If you read back through my blog, you will see that I love playing make believe. We have had a fairy for nearly any occassion. I used to have to check my kids' nightstands for fairy notes...which were usually granted if I had the supplies around. For a period of time, we even had a pokemon fairy that mailed things to the kids!
What's your favorite color combo?
What's your favorite color combo?
In the stamping arena...probably anything that included RED. Red and yellow. Red and Black and white. Red and Blue. Red and chocolate. Oh wait...I'd be eating the chocolate.
What else do you like to do?
What else do you like to do?
Lately, I have been playing the piano more. I enjoy reading when I get the time between voluneteering for Scouts, Brownies, Junior Achievement, Soccer, in classrooms and church. (So obviously, I haven't read a lot in the last decade.) Needless to say, I will be happy to spend the summer lounging at the pool! I'm always making something...maybe be out of cloth, maybe out of flour and always about of paper!
Where do you get inspiration from?
Where do you get inspiration from?
Mostly, I enjoy making a card with a person in mind. That way the colors and the theme and the images are geared for that special person.
What's on your ipod?
What's on your ipod?
Frankly, I am a "boombox" sort of gal. I love music...loud for everyone to hear it! My tastes run the gammit depending on my mood. Musicals are always fun to sing along with. Housework is more enjoying about with rock n roll or 80's music blarring. Greatest hits albums are a good standby...today I had on Simon and Garfunkle one hour, Peter, Paul and Mary the next. I guess over all, you could say, I'm eclectic! In between all that, I'm listening to any number of radio stations.
And here are some of Dawn's fabulouso creations...some you may have seen, and some you may not have. :)

Let's Stamp Out Alzheimer's!
So, you may notice that this post is going up at 12:01 am (or maybe it'll be 12:05! This actually isnt a prescheduled post! I'm still up!) That is because the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's event is offically started!
A bit back, I was contact by Susanna Boyd (a friend of mine, and the founder of Paper Craft Planet) and she asked if I would help and be a sponsor for a fundraising event she was hosting with Jen Tapler. I of course said that i'd love to help out! I just love Susanna! She told me all about the event, to be called Stampin' Out Alzheimers, and why she and Jen were putting it on.
Alzheimer's is the 7th leading cause of death in the United States. This was a fact that I had no idea of! 5.3 million people suffer from it including Jen Tapler's father and Susanna's grandmother. Which is just 1 of the reasons they've decided to put on this event. After letting the design team know that PMS would be a sponsor, I learned that Lisa Kind's father passed away from this disease. It is something that affects so many and at this point, there is no cure.
To become a member, go to http://www.stampinoutalzheimers.ning.com
The suggested donation is $5. Once you are a member you will have access to all kinds of fun things! There are oodles of challenges (all with prizes attached! Freebie downloads. And daily prizes given away at random. It is a 7 day event so there is a lot of time to get in on the action!
PMS is hosting a challenge called "Any Winged Thing". It's easy to play, just use "any winged thing" on your card! It can be a fairy, a butterfly, bumblebee, angel, bird, the list really is endless! Please use the tag PMSSOA in the gallery so we can easily see all the cards in one place! 1 Lucky winner will get a gift certificate of $25 to use at the PMS store!
Members of the Stampin Out Alzheimers event will also get a coupon code to the PMS website for 10% off their order. You'll just have to look for our blinkie in the sidebar to get the code. :)
There are more ways to get some PMS goodness too! There are some stamp singles in the daily give aways and our very own Lisa Kind is sponsoring a Copic Coloring Challenge that ALSO has a $25 gift certificate to the PMS store (you can buy copics, stamps, whatever your heart wants! Thanks so much Lisa!)
And of course, as always, my fabby design team stepped up to the plate to help promote this cause!
So we really hope you'll come over and say hi!!! It's such a worthy cause and bound to be a lot of fun!!!
