Senior Design Tip: A Cool Technique

Hi everyone, Lisa Kind here!  The Paper Makeup Stamps Senior Design Team will be bringing you weekly posts on different topics.  This week I'm here to discuss a cool technique I learned at a workshop I went to last year.  They call it  "ghosting".  Here's the card I did a while ago using this technique.

This card uses the PMS stamp sets Faith Hope Love for the main image and Little Moments for the sentiment.  Here's the steps to achieve this cool look.
  1. You need a stamp that has a lot of surface, such as this one.  Ink it up in a white pigment ink and stamp.
  2. Heat with a heat gun until dry.
  3. Use a sponge applicator to apply ink directly over the image.  I used Ranger's Spiced Marmalade and Tea Dye distress inks on this.  The more ink you apply, the more vivid the stamped image will become.
That's it!  It's a cool technique!  I hope you enjoyed this PMS Senior Design Team tip!  Let me know what you think.  If you use it, link it here in the comments section so I can see your work!

Have a great weekend!
