More important than OMG did you SEE

Hello everyone! I switching out today's regualrly scheduled post for something far more important! Recently i came across a blog about a little baby girl, her struggle for life, and her family's struggle to stay afload thru it all. It struck a cord with me personally for many many reasons. Then, a cry from a dear friend asked for help. I knew immediately this was something I wanted to do. Something that I wanted to help others to do. I called up Diem (the illustrator for the Beautiful Day Fairies collection and asked how fast she could draw me up a new stamp. She loved the idea and we chatted a bit about what we wanted and today I can present to you...

Meet n Greet Tuesday with Shaela Odd

We're going to have a new fun thing every tuesday. It's a meet n greet. I wanted everyone to get to know each design team member... and since there are quiet a few of them... it will last many many weeks! :)

First up is Shaela Odd!!

And here's our 5 questions for Shaela...

When did you start stamping? 

I first started stamping about 2 years ago. I'm more into scrapbooking and thought stamps were only for cards (although I love making cards too), but once I figured out how many AMAZING stamps and companies there are out there, I was hooked!

What first drew you to PMS? 

I followed Katie around cyberspace like a sick puppy, so when she started her own company I HAD to get some stuff! Lauren in Love and Dreck sealed the deal - I've been hooked ever since!
What's your favorite color combo? Oh dear, I don't have one! I love anything that fits my mood and looks good to me at the time.

What else do you like to do? 

I love to read, and I'm an avid writer and poet. I also compose songs on my piano and guitar. I love all things outdoorsy and love to rock climb - I used to compete!

Where do you get inspiration from? 

Everywhere: other blogs, magazines, artwork, billboards, nature - I see everything as a jumping-off point.

What's on your ipod? 

I'm a punk rocker at heart! But I love a bit of just about everything.

Sunday Showoff

Today is the day for the Sunday Showoff. If you are new to the PMS blog, every monday one of the design team members issues a challenge. And then the following Sunday, we show off all the cards made for the challenge. It's super fun. :) And it can spark a lot of ideas!

A Fabulous Friday Feature

 It's time for another fabulous friday feature everyone!

Today Friday Feature is close to my heart.  She was the first true fan of Paper Makeup Stamps.

What do i mean by true fan?

Well she found PMS thru a card someone (i dont even know who!) posted on splitcoast and fell in love.  She went straight away and ordered.  And ordered.  and ordered.  haha.

She told friends and helped spread the word.

And even know i know a lot of people in this great big crafting world we all live in... i did not know her, which meant her love was not biased.  She loved these stamps!

OMG did you SEE??

Sorry for the lack of posts! Yesterday i had a plan... and it didnt pan out. Today the post is late because my 3 year old locked himself (with his baby brother) in the garage! He was stuck in there for nearly 2 hours! Yes, it's been a rough day!!!!

BUT - i have an absolutely fantastic OMG - did you SEE for today! Its our very own design team member... Jamie Morris!

Did you know that this week on splitcoast stampers, that Jamie is this weeks featured stamper?! Do you know how awesome that is?! Do you know how many people there are on splitcoast!? I'm so proud of her! I mean, she is a phenom stamper, colorer and all time ust a great person who is very deserving of being a featured stamper... but still.... i'm proud!

Happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend? Are you guys ready for another Paper Makeup challenge? This week's challenge is a color combination from Dawn Knight: Cameo Coral, Old Olive, Summer Sun, and Kraft. We understand that not everyone uses Stampin' Up! but don't let that stop you from playing along! If you need help matching colors you can go to THIS website which has all of the SU colors for you.
